let them eat cake (b. in defense)
white frosting on white cake
Starting with dessert, we are serving up layers of perceived control through oppression in a sweet sweet vanilla cake. Perceived control throughout history in a sense is what we are based on. Colonization was the stealing of land to control how a country could develop and grow attaining it through genocide. Capitalism was the result of the need for jobs but led to climate destruction through the industrial era and dependence on the automobile leaving the impoverished in poisoned landscapes. Domesticity came out of control of the home along with abandonment of the city that felt dirty, and chaotic, but didn’t acknowledge the mental illness or those that could not reach the standard. There are two sides to every story.
